Services

Welcome to AMeliora Therapy’s Psychological Services. I offer confidential and compassionate psychological support for individuals and couples through Telehealth. Telehealth sessions provide a secure online platform for therapy, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own space. The benefits include convenience, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize your mental health without geographical constraints. Let’s embark on this journey towards well-being together!

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy is like a helpful guide for life’s tough moments. It’s a safe space where we work together to navigate challenges and rediscover your best self. In today’s busy world, taking care of yourself sometimes takes a back seat, and that’s where therapy comes in.

What to Expect?

Expect a reset button for your life. In our Telehealth sessions, we connect virtually to explore and understand your experiences. It’s a conversation that helps you focus on what matters most – you.

How I Can Help:

Whether you’re facing the challenges of battling depression, managing anxiety, wrestling with low self-esteem, navigating parenting difficulties, coping with stress, dealing with life crises, family issues, complex trauma, PTSD, cross-cultural dilemmas (embracing individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds), coping with grief and loss, tackling workplace stress, or providing support for children after separation—I’m here for you.

I also work with WorkCover clients and accept referrals from Open Arms, extending support to those who serve or have served our country.

Interventions and Specialized Approaches:

In delivering therapy, I prioritize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma.

Our sessions extend beyond traditional approaches. My approach is holistic: creativity finds a place, utilizing visual imagery, narrative exploration, and other experiential techniques to enhance the therapeutic process. Family Therapy, attachment-based interventions, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation are seamlessly integrated to address the diverse facets of your well-being. Psychoeducation becomes a key element, providing comprehensive information tailored to your needs.

Ready to embark on this transformative journey? Take the first step, and let’s explore the possibilities together. Remember, you’re not alone in this.

Couple Therapy

Couples therapy is a collaborative process designed to help partners navigate challenges and enhance their connection. At the core of our approach is Imago Relationship Therapy, a transformative method exploring the link between present conflicts and early childhood experiences.

What to Expect?

Our sessions, conducted exclusively through Telehealth, offer a convenient and accessible way to prioritize your relationship. From the comfort of your own space, expect a safe and supportive environment where open communication and understanding thrive.

How I Can Help:

As a clinical psychologist, my role is to guide you and your partner towards a more conscious and fulfilling relationship, addressing a range of challenges, including communication difficulties, trust and intimacy concerns, navigating major life transitions, constructively managing conflicts, strengthening resilience in the face of stress, financial stress and differences, parenting challenges, infidelity and trust rebuilding, coping with loss and grief, balancing work and personal life.

Interventions and Specialized Approaches

At the heart of my approach is the Imago Dialogue, a powerful communication tool. It empowers couples to move beyond blame and reactivity, fostering empathy and understanding. This shift paves the way for a more conscious relationship, allowing couples to navigate challenges together.
Imago Relationship Therapy, rooted in the Latin word “imago” meaning “image,” delves into the unconscious images of familiar love that shape our adult relationships. By exploring the connection between present-day conflicts and early childhood experiences, couples embark on a journey of understanding and healing.
